TOEFL 2012 PBT & iBT: A Brief Overview
If you are planning to study abroad, the TOEFL 2012 is the one test that can take you
anywhere.
In fact, more institutions accept TOEFL test scores than any other test in the
world - more than 8,500 colleges, universities and licensing
agencies in 130 countries. With more than 4,500 test centers in 165
countries, taking the test is convenient and easy.
What is the TOEFL PBT Test?
The TOEFL PBT
Test is a paper-based test that measures your ability to use and
understand English in a classroom setting at the college or
university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen,
read and write English while performing academic tasks.
What is the TOEFL iBT
Test?
The TOEFL iBT test measures your ability
to use and understand English at the university level. And it
evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking
and writing skills to perform academic tasks.
Reasons to Take the TOEFL Test
2012
- Choices - No matter where in the world you
want to study, the TOEFL test can help
get you there. You will be eligible for admission to virtually any
institution in the world - including the top colleges and
universities in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and New Zealand.
A directory of these institutions is listed on the attached
reference material.
- Convenience - The TOEFL test gives you more flexibility on when, where
and how often you can take the test, and more practice tools and
feedback, than any other English-language test in the world.
- Relevance - The TOEFL test helps prove you have the English skills
you will actually use in an academic classroom. Because the test is
composed of 100% academic questions and tasks, many universities
consider it the most appropriate test to use when making admissions
decisions.
