Hey everyone. I was accepted to Master of Science in Electrical Engineering for Fall 2009 to: 1) SJSU 2) UNC Charlotte 3) University of Texas San Antonio.
Now I am confused between UNCC and SJSU. Please advise me which would be better in terms of quality of education (of EE department).
UNCC pros: 1) Good faculty 2) More research 3) Nice environment and library
UNCC cons: 1) I have heard that travelling to city center is troublesome and public transport from university isn’t good. 2) The life outside the grad school is nearly zero. 3) I heard that recruitments are not very good.
SJSU Pros: 1) At the center of Silicon Valley – good recruitments 2) At the center of the city.. everything is available nearby.
SJSU Cons: 1) I am not sure about EE faculty, but I have read that they are not much involved in research as there is no Phd programs in SJSU. 2) Higher cost of living.
Please advise which is better. Thank you very much.
