i am final year student of bsc.biotechnology. my session will comlete in april 2009. i want to do masters in US university. i am also doin software engg.3 yrs from NIIT,CHD.but i am confused about the scholarship test 4 US i.e.GRE test….when to give so that i can join sept2009 or jan session2010. please tell me.
hello LUCY this is nathan from tamilnadu and im doing my final year mechanical engineering now and i will be having a of cgpa -8.2 at the end of my college. and i have 90.5% in 12th and 91% in 10 th standard. and about my extracurricular activity im in cultural and ncc . and about co curricular activities i had presented a single paper in a intra college paper contest(in our college itself) and got prize. and i will be completing 2 projects at the end of my college (may-2009) . i want to apply for M.S in mechanical engineering in 2010 fall at US. so i will also be having 1 year experience in a automobile company where i got placed. so plz tell me which is the best time for me to take GRE test and what else i can improve (abt my profile). what range of score would u recommend me to set as target to get admission in some good and economical(public schools) university with scholorship. plz reply me. i missed a thing . already i had planned to take my test at end of feburary(2009). plz tell me is that ok ,if not when can i take it??

Hey ranganathan,
I’m quite impressed at your list of achievements! As for improvement, I’m not sure what else you could do – just keep doing your best – you seem to be doing just fine. If you want to do better, I’m sure there are ways where you could achieve even more! Extracurricular activities and work experience can help too sometimes, which you already have.
Take the GRE test whenever you feel is appropriate – make sure you have enough time to take the test and send in your GRE scores by the time your school wishes to have it. If you take your test in February 2009, and you wish to enroll in September 2009, that should be sufficient time.
